Using an Emergency Money Fund for Online Shopping

Posted on 13. Dec, 2013 by in Financial Planning

Everyone knows that online shopping is on the rise.  Nearly anything you could think to buy is available online.  Using an emergency money fund can help in your online shopping, especially during the holidays.

Being prepared is ideal when going into your holiday shopping, but sometimes it is impossible to account for the price of the perfect gift.  When you find the perfect thing for someone, you don’t want to be deterred by price.  Having an emergency money fund in place can mean the difference between a happy moment and a huge disappointment.

Setting up an emergency fund is very easy.  It is as simple as setting a bit of money aside in a separate account every few months or every few pay checks.  The key is to find an amount of money you can be comfortable not spending every month or so.  Setting that money aside in preparation for the holidays prepares you for all of your shopping needs.  Having that money put aside makes your online shopping experience quick and easy.

Online shopping is an experience like no other.  You can shop from the comfort of your home, no need to leave your house or contend with crowds.  Plus, your purchase is always in stock and most online retailers offer free shipping on orders over a certain dollar amount.  This means that it saves you time, money, and stress.  It is really the perfect shopping experience.  All the purchases you could ever want to make are right at your fingertips, all you have to do is figure out what you want to purchase and how much you are willing to pay for it.

Using an emergency money fund for online shopping is the ideal experience.  By shopping from the convenience of you home with money you have set aside for this specific purpose, you are saving yourself all of the typical holiday shopping stress and trouble.  You can purchase any gift you want from the comfort of your own home.
